VON MILLER RAISES MORE THAN $400,000 AT INAUGURAL ‘WESTERN ROUND-UP’ EVENT

DENVER (NOVEMBER 6, 2018) – Von’s Vision hosted more than 250 guests at its first ever Von Miller’s Western Round-Up event on Monday, presented by Andrea and Matt Flanagan. Formerly known as Von Miller’s Celebrity Steak-Out, the event was held at Mile High Station and Ironworks on Monday, November 5.

More than $400,000 was raised to support the Foundation’s programs, which includes the $50,000 in donation by Von himself. Von was excited to have Denver-native Matt Iseman as the celebrity emcee for the 2018 Western Round-Up. Iseman is the host of the three-time Emmy nominated “American Ninja Warrior” and is a renowned comedian, actor, and television host. Additionally, Von was excited to invite Matt Rogers as the celebrity auctioneer. Rogers is the host of Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch and an accomplished TV personality and singer/songwriter.

Guests and supporters of Von’s Vision enjoyed a western-themed cocktail reception sponsored by Hero Practice Services and Schomp Automotive and live and silent auction at Ironworks, a newly renovated multimillion-dollar private event venue. This year’s event also included an After-Party which featured cocktails and a DJ at the Ironworks venue.

“Life is bigger than football. The opportunity to bring these Vision Centers to the kids who need them where they are is the next level of my foundation” said Von Miller. “To be able to overcome the barriers of transportation will allow my foundation to serve more in-need students than ever.”

The event shifted focus this year to the launch of the new Von’s Vision Center program concept. Von unveiled the prototype of the mobile vision center to guests and announced the ribbon cutting of the first Von’s Vision Center at the Denver Broncos Boys and Girls Club on November 14th. Two children from the Denver Boys and Girls Club were recognized during the program and shared their excitement about the launch of the mobile Vision Center. Von’s Vision Center is a mobile vision exam kiosk that will allow eye exam services to be brought right to the student.

Several of Von’s Broncos teammates were in attendance to show their support and mingle with attendees throughout the night, including Case Keenum, Bradley Chubb, Kevin Hogan, Matt LaCosse, Brandon Marshall, Brian Parker, Will Parks, Elijah Wilkinson and Isaac Yiadom.
